Since The Red Moon Appeared

Synopsis

The animation "Starting from Red Moon" is based on the novel of the same name by Heishan Laogui. It recounts the tale of a crimson moon that unexpectedly appears in the sky, an event historically referred to as the red moon incident. The remaining survivors are forced to seek refuge within a city protected by towering walls. Among these survivors, some individuals undergo mental mutations. Those unable to control their mutations emit a mental plague and radiation that contaminates nearby ordinary people, posing a significant threat to human survival. To address this source of contamination, High Wall City establishes a specialized pollution cleanup department, recruiting individuals capable of harnessing spiritual energy. Our protagonist, Lu Xin, is in the process of applying for the most perilous cleanup department.
