Dai-Shogun: Great Revolution

Synopsis

Set in Japan's late Edo period, the country faces a unique crisis when foreign ships called Kurofune appear. However, an ancient giant robot known as Onigami drives them away, preserving Japan's isolationist stance. This alternate timeline prevents the 1868 Meiji Restoration from occurring. The series' tagline proclaims: "I can be the greatest man in the world, because I am a virgin!!"

Background

In 2016, concept creator Kazuya Sasahara launched a Kickstarter campaign to create a virtual reality 3DCG-animated reboot of Fuuun Ishin Dai☆Shogun. The project aimed to create a one-minute 360° panorama VR movie. However, the campaign was not successful, failing to raise its US$200,000 goal.
