Over Drive

Synopsis

In "Over Drive," Mikoto Shinozaki is a socially awkward high school student with low self-esteem, often getting bullied because of his unkempt appearance. Yuki Fukuzawa, the most admired girl in class, believes Mikoto's troubles are partly his own fault. She encourages him to join the school's bicycle club, hoping he will improve and make new friends. Despite having no experience and not knowing how to ride a bike, Mikoto agrees, driven by his feelings for Yuki. At first completely clueless about cycling, Mikoto is motivated by the vision of himself riding a bike. His determination leads him to sneak onto school grounds at night to practice. This begins Mikoto's transformation as he dives into the world of cycling, experiencing changes in his life he never could have imagined.
