Synopsis
Coult, the prince of the kingdom of Loon, spends his days happily alongside his father, King Stephan, and the royal retainers. He is a cheerful, bright, and gentle boy blessed by the god Aganade. Coult's mother, Galatea—the daughter of Aganade—had married King Stephan. But Medusa, the daughter of an evil spirit, grew envious of her happiness and, while Coult was still a baby, turned her and many of the villagers into statues. To save the petrified villagers, Stephan pledged his allegiance to Medusa and was forced to promise that Coult would do the same when he turned eight. When that day arrives, Coult instead declares that he will defeat Medusa and revive all those who were turned to stone. He then sets off on a long journey in search of the evil spirit's daughter.
