Synopsis
On the verge of total destruction at the hands of an alien menace called the Pillars, humanity receives a crucial reprieve when a divine being named Odin grants them the abilities of Valkyries—elite pilots of vintage aircraft known as Hero Wings. Claudia Bruford, known by the alias Schwertleite, is the standout pilot of the European Valkyrie Wing. Following the death of Japan's top-ranked S-class Valkyrie in battle, Claudia is reassigned to fill that role. Despite her infamous reputation as the sole survivor of countless missions, which has earned her the nickname Grim Reaper, she anticipates facing resistance. Upon arriving at the Tateyama Valkyrie Wing, however, she meets an unconventional group of comrades who disregard her grim history and reject her dreaded moniker.
