Synopsis

Spanning eight seconds, this work inserts intervals between frames and progressively enlarges them. The focus lies on expansion and growth rather than the mere passage of time, rendering those eight seconds significantly more luxuriant. Created as a 2014 graduate project by the Department of Animation at the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts, it received several accolades: Best Gallery Film at the 2014 Anima Mundi, the Jury Special Prize at the 2014 ANIMPACT, and the Graduation Work Adobe prize at the 2014 Tokyo Anime Award Festival.
