A Tree of Palme

Synopsis

In a distant region of the planet Arcana, Palme, a sentient android forged from mystical wood capable of absorbing the memories of civilizations where it takes root, is awakened by Koram, an injured warrior of the Sol tribe. Koram entrusts Palme with the mystical 'Egg of the Roof', imploring the android to transport it to the legendary realm of Tamas. Now imbued with a sense of purpose, Palme accepts this quest to deliver the relic to its origin at the planet's center, a place currently threatened by a malevolent and destructive force.

Background

Palme no Ki was an official selection for the Golden Bear in the 52nd Berlin International Film Festival. The movie is loosely inspired by the 1883 novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi.
