Synopsis
Hiiragi Kyoichiro, the eldest son of a wealthy family, leaves Momoki Village to study at the prestigious Imperial University in Tokyo, taking with him his family's treasured katana. Alongside this prized possession, Kyoichiro has an unusual ability to see the spirits of the dead. Despite this unsettling gift, he remains hopeful, even whimsically wishing these spirits would appear less frightening. Upon waking, he discovers his wish has accidentally transformed him into a much smaller and noticeably cuter form. Adding to his strange situation, Kyoichiro becomes caught up in a supernatural conflict involving rival factions within the Imperial Japanese Army that aim to build an army of undead soldiers, a mysterious stranger with unclear motives, and a group opposing the government called the Five Katana.
