To Be Hero

Synopsis

In "To Be Hero," Uncle, a charming but flirtatious toilet engineer and single father, spends his days hitting on women and bragging that he can guess their hip sizes on sight. His life is turned upside down when he gets flushed into a toilet and receives actual superpowers from the Space Peace Republic Alliance Hero Committee, making him Earth's defender. But this gift comes with a major catch—he transforms into a grotesque and obese form, unable to reveal his secret identity. His daughter, Min-chan, rejects him, declaring the hideous figure too disgusting to be her father, and kicks him out of their home. Heartbroken and homeless, Uncle teams up with his odd neighbor, Yamada-san, a tiny man known for running around naked, to prove he is truly her dad. The story, packed with sexual humor and slapstick comedy, follows Uncle as he gathers strange allies and fights bizarre enemies, striving to protect Earth from alien threats while trying to win back his daughter's love.

Background

Initially, the title of the series was Tu Bian Yingxiong. With the release of the second season, the first season's title was changed to Tu Bian Yingxiong Baba. In order to fit the broadcasting slot, the Japanese version had to cut each episode down to eleven minutes.
