Penguin Highway

Synopsis

In Penguin Highway, Aoyama—a child possessing knowledge beyond his years—often finds himself mocked by his peers. He also holds a secret admiration for a kind woman he met during a recent dental visit. One day, penguins begin appearing inexplicably throughout his neighborhood, leaving everyone baffled as to their origin. Driven by curiosity, Aoyama teams up with the woman to investigate the mystery behind these enigmatic creatures. Their inquiry leads them to a strange, floating orb known as "The Sea," which devours anything that approaches it without fail. They discover that only penguins can penetrate this sphere, though doing so results in terrifying consequences. The story follows Aoyama and the woman as they seek to uncover the penguins' origins, with Aoyama confronting numerous obstacles along the way.
