Yakitori: Soldiers of Misfortune

Synopsis

In a future where trade federations control the solar system and are perpetually at war, Akira decides to escape his confining home country of Japan. Following the suggestion of his friend Pupkin, a military cook, he enlists in a trade federation orbital drop infantry unit. These units are infamous for their 70% casualty rate and are referred to as "Yakitori" because of how easily they are sacrificed.
