
Synopsis
In "Wakakusa no Charlotte," the title character lives on a farm in Canada. On her twelfth birthday, her father reveals that her mother—whom Charlotte believed to be dead—is actually alive in Paris and will soon rejoin the family. This news deeply unsettles Charlotte, but she gradually begins to come to terms with it before her father unexpectedly passes away. Faced with these fresh hardships, Charlotte must learn to navigate life on her own. She discovers that her father belonged to a noble bloodline, and his grandfather intends to bring her into the family, even though she has no real connection to her mother. Meanwhile, a local landowner is trying to seize her father's farm. Poor Charlotte...
