In the year 20XX, humans called "Concodes" partner with advanced AIs known as "Codeman" to compete in team battles using the card game ZENOZARD. Excitement builds worldwide as everyone gears up for THE ZENON, a prestigious championship. Souta Azuma, an ordinary high school student, meets a mysterious woman named Eilietta Lash, who reveals herself to be a Codeman. Eilietta asks Souta to form a team with her to enter THE ZENON, even though he is hesitant at first. Their first match pits them against Shion Saionji, a famous player from Souta's school, and her Codeman, Ash Claude.

In the year 20XX, human players known as "Concodes" partner with ultra-high-performance AIs called "Codeman" as teammates to compete in the card battle game ZENONZARD. The world championship tournament, THE ZENON, has fans buzzing with excitement. One day, ordinary high school student Souta Azuma is challenged to a duel by a mysterious woman named Eilietta Lash. She reveals herself as a Codeman and states that her goal is to form a team with Souta and enter THE ZENON. Souta reluctantly goes along with the idea. Their very first opponents turn out to be the superstar player Shion Saionji—who attends the same school as Souta—and her partner, Ash Claude.
