Synopsis

Continues the story of By the Grace of the Gods

In a secluded forest far from human settlement, a solitary child named Ryouma Takebayashi lives. His unusual hobby is raising various types of slimes as pets. Though still young, he has a robust build and a natural talent for magic, gifts from a past life filled with hardship. Three gods granted him this new beginning so he can fully appreciate life's joys. After three years of peaceful isolation, Ryouma's path crosses with people who will change his world. When he helps soldiers tend to a wounded comrade, they convince him to accompany them to visit the local ducal family in a nearby town. Agreeing, Ryouma begins a journey to experience the wider world beyond his forest home.

In another world following his reincarnation, Ryouma Takebayashi uses the blessings granted by the gods to tame many slimes and enhance the well-being of people near him. As his laundry venture, Bamboo Forest, succeeds, he intends to grow into the neighboring town of Lenaf. Keeping his promise to his dear companion Eliaria Jamil, he commits each day to refining new skills, strengthening bonds, and uncovering additional varieties of slimes.

Background

Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko 2nd Season was released on Blu-ray in two volumes by Toei Video from April 12, 2023, and May 10, 2023. Limited edition bonuses were made available, featuring new material from the authors and, for the first volume exclusively, a card to download the original soundtrack. To commemorate the series, a special broadcast aired on AbemaTV on December 27, 2022, before the anime premiered. Beginning on January 5, 2023, the Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko: Tadokoro Azusa and Kuwahara Yuuki's Isekai Slow Radio 2 program featuring discussions of the series by the show's voice actors streamed on the Chou! A&G+ internet radio station.
