Synopsis

After a career-ending injury derails his promising future as a soccer player, Shun Satou enters high school with no clear purpose. His listless days take an unexpected turn when he encounters Naoki Satou—better known by her nickname Chokki-chan—the charismatic leader of an eccentric club devoted to elaborate after-school going-home rituals. Reluctantly drawn into her playful world of detours and spontaneous adventures, Shun slowly rediscovers meaning and color in his formerly monochrome life. "Houkago Kitaku Biyori" follows a girl who never takes the straight path home and the boy who learns to find his way once more.
