Synopsis
Continues the story of Great Planet Evil-Destroyer Dangaio
After learning that malicious invaders destroyed their homeworlds, four psychic warriors are gathered by a mysterious doctor to merge into Dangaioh, the most powerful weapon in the universe. By unleashing their combined cyonic powers, they are the only ones who can put an end to the brutal tyranny of Captain Garimoth and his evil henchman, preventing the universe's destruction.
In this installment
A mysterious explosion on Futagami Island marks the start of a new chapter in the Dangaioh mythos. Led by the wicked Professor Katou, a group of warriors known as the "Tartarus Knights" has initiated their plan to destroy the world, using a small research station on the island as their base. Katou's success appears nearly guaranteed until he comes across an advanced fortress protecting the island. From within, a trio of humanoid robots is deployed—Dangaioh!
Background
Initially planned to have an episode length of 26 episodes, production was cancelled after episode 13, due to the poor reception of the series.
