Synopsis
In the past, the Citizens of the Stars invaded the planet Tokinea, bringing mass destruction upon humanity. To fight back, the military launched the Majin project, creating hybrids from human and alien DNA in an attempt to harness extraterrestrial power while keeping them loyal to Earth. Majin no. 7, a young girl confined within a military base, is set free when the Citizens of the Stars attack again. Though she possesses overwhelming strength that lets her crush the enemy easily, she battles with uncertainty and reluctance. When Yuuri, a boy who tells her she must fight to earn her freedom, gives her encouragement, she finds the resolve to wipe out the remaining invaders. Bound together by their search for meaning in a world devoid of peace, they set off on a shared journey.
Background
Hanoka is the first anime television series to be entirely produced in Adobe Flash animation. It aired between August 7, 2006 and October 23, 2006 on the Japanese TV channel Kids Station.
