Synopsis
In the story "Ippon" again!, cheerful Michi Sonoda tells her teammate Sanae Takigawa that she plans to retire from judo after her final middle school tournament. Sanae is shocked, as Michi's passion for the sport originally inspired her to take it up. Michi believes a fulfilling youth should include experiences like dating rather than dedicating time to training on the mat. However, Michi's hope to end her brief judo career with a victory is crushed when she loses to talented Towa Hiura. Her plans further unravel upon learning that Towa will attend the same high school as her and Sanae. As her former rival returns, Michi may come to realize she hasn't fully let go of her love for judo.
