Synopsis
In a far-off future, Earth has become a barren wasteland devoid of any human life. The only inhabitants are intelligent robots, originally designed to be immortal. Yet after the death of Luna, a catastrophe known as the Ruin sets in, causing their bodies to gradually decay with no remedy in sight. These robots cling to the desperate belief that consuming Casshern will grant them eternal life. Casshern himself has lost all memories of his past, his purpose, and even his own identity. He must uncover these forgotten truths while constantly fleeing from relentless robotic hunters who seek to extend their own existence. Wherever Casshern goes, destruction follows in his wake, yet he is forced to confront this grim reality in order to solve the mysteries surrounding his own being and the ultimate destiny of the world.
