Synopsis
In the Chinese imperial court, the strict Emperor Xiao Jinyun and the lively Empress Xu Yu frequently clash. Their lives are thrown into chaos when a bizarre accident causes them to swap bodies, forcing each to take on the other's responsibilities. As they navigate unfamiliar duties, contend with court politics, manage unruly concubines, and govern the kingdom, the emperor and empress strive to preserve their true selves. Through this ordeal, their unique traits and unconventional abilities prove unexpectedly useful, gradually fostering deeper understanding and empathy between them. Yet, serious threats loom both within and beyond the palace walls. If the imperial astrologer fails to find a way to restore their bodies in time, suspicion and internal conflict could spell disaster for them both.
