Synopsis

In the chaotic Warring States period of Hinomoto, in the isolated mountain and coastal region of Kinokuni, a group of warriors operates deep within the forests under the emblem of the Yatagarasu, relying mainly on firearms. Called the Saikashu, this band is commanded by Magoichi, who arrived from overseas and assumed that title. Meanwhile, Saburo becomes aware of the growing danger from encroaching European powers and devotes themself to defending Hinomoto. The fates of these two individuals, whose paths were never meant to cross, intersect as they battle the invaders from across the seas.
