Synopsis
On a frigid December evening, a young girl attempts to sell matches but has no success. To stave off the cold, she strikes one match and is greeted by a spectacular vision... This animated feature is adapted from the tale by Hans Christian Andersen. Though completed in July 1967, its release was postponed until the 1971 "Toho Champion Matsuri" film festival.
