Synopsis
Continues the story of Sabikui Bisco
In a post-apocalyptic Japan reduced to a vast desert, a mysterious rust disease threatens what remains of civilization. The authorities blame mushroom spores and point to Bisco Akaboshi, known as the "Man-Eating Mushroom," as the culprit. Bisco sees things differently. As a "Mushroom Protector," they seek the legendary "Sabikui" mushroom, believed to be the cure for the rusting illness. Accompanying Bisco on this journey are a giant crab named Akutagawa and Dr. Milo Nekoyanagi, a kind-hearted doctor looking for a remedy for their sibling's rust poisoning. Despite widespread prejudice, Bisco continues their quest to heal the decaying world.
