Synopsis
An ordinary university student, curious about the newest otome game that has taken everyone by storm, decides to try it out for herself. She clears the normal route in no time and can't help but feel sorry for the villainess, Penelope Eckhart. Penelope is nothing but a fake—a stand-in brought in to replace the duke's missing daughter, who serves as the game's true protagonist. Confident that she can handle hard mode as well, the woman is caught completely off guard by the sudden leap in difficulty and eventually collapses from sheer exhaustion. But when she wakes up, her surroundings are entirely unfamiliar—she has been reincarnated into the body of the very villainess she once pitied! Trapped in a world where it feels like everyone is out for her blood, Penelope must make every choice carefully to steer clear of the death route.
