Synopsis
This anime was developed to promote tourism for Ogaki City in Gifu Prefecture. It draws from the book Oam Monogatari, which follows a woman coming of age during the Sengoku Era. The main character, Oam, is the daughter of Yamada Kyoreki, a vassal serving the warlord Ishida Mitsunari. The series offers one of the rare historical perspectives on the life of a noble teenage girl amid wartime. The story shifts between past and present, highlighting Oam's struggles at Ogaki Castle—the site that would become ground zero for the Battle of Sekigahara, which secured the Tokugawa shogunate—and how she escaped with her mother under cover of night.
