Kotowari: Kimi no Kokoro no Koboreta Kakera

Synopsis

Based on the adult game by C: drive. As a child, half of Mishiro's soul was devoured by a deity with teeth. Ever since, he has been forced to contend with spirits known as kotowari, which dwell within the darkness of the souls of people connected to him, no matter how tenuous the link. Kotowari are fragments of the soul born from a person's anguish, and ordinarily only that individual can see, hear, or touch them. Even if a kotowari is destroyed, it will continue to reappear until the root of the suffering is resolved. Shortly after transferring to a school in a sightseeing town steeped in history, Mishiro comes across a kotowari and resolves to track down its owner. But there is more than one kotowari, as numerous other girls each carry their own hidden pain.
