Synopsis

Continues the story of Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor - Right of Left

Yumi Ikoma and Ryou Masaoka are children who have been chosen to take part in a highly classified mission, becoming the pilots of the first Fafner combat units—the last hope for humanity's survival. The enemy is ruthless and remorseless, with the ability to read human minds. Because of this, the details of the operation are kept secret even from the personnel involved. The young pilots must summon all their courage and faith to endure and accomplish their mission, or the fate of all mankind will be endangered.

In a remote area of the Japanese archipelago, Tatsumiyajima serves as the primary hub for a group of islands. The inhabitants enjoy calm lives, with youth attending school free from worry. Yet this peace masks a deeper reality. Humanity's survival hangs in the balance, and Tatsumiyajima stands as the final barrier against a strange, unknowable threat. At the heart of this conflict lies the colossal mecha Fafner, a dragon-shaped guardian charged with protecting the last remnants of humanity.
