In "Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!: Heart Throb," Yuuta Togashi and his chuuni girlfriend, Rikka Takanashi, begin a new school year living together, yet their bond feels stuck. Yuuta grapples with the reality of being paired with a chuuni partner, while the rest of the group—Sanae Dekomori, Shinka Nibutani, and Kumin Tsuyuri—persist in their eccentric behaviors despite moving up a grade. Compounding Yuuta's troubles, Satone Shichimiya, another chuuni girl from his middle school days, makes an appearance. Amidst these developments, can Yuuta finally push his relationship with Rikka forward?

Rikka Takanashi is now a third-year high school student, still caught up in chuunibyou, which makes her live in a fantasy world. Even so, her relationship with Yuuta Togashi has remained the same over the past six months. With college entrance exams approaching, both of them wish to attend the same university. Suddenly, Rikka's older sister Tooka gets a permanent job in Italy and plans to move there with Rikka, threatening to separate the couple. Faced with this possibility, Yuuta and Rikka ask their friends for advice and decide to run away together. The movie "Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Movie: Take On Me" follows their adventurous trip across Japan as they try to avoid Rikka's relocation to Italy. Will they manage to stay together?
