Synopsis
In "Occultic;Nine," NEET teenager Yuuta Gamon and his enthusiastic friend Ryouka Narusawa run a blog dedicated to debunking paranormal phenomena. This blog unexpectedly brings together a diverse group of individuals who would not normally cross paths. The members include high school diviner Miyuu Aikawa, who works with Yuuta on the blog; realist Sarai Hashigami, whose life is turned upside down by a family tragedy; doujin artist Ririka Nishizono, whose drawings eerily predict future events; Aria Kurenaino, a black magic practitioner and local curse expert accompanied by her ghostly companion; otaku detective Shun Moritsuka, known for his childlike demeanor; and investigative journalist Touko Sumikaze. As these unlikely allies are drawn together by fate, they face a series of murders and other enigmatic incidents tinged with supernatural elements. Together, they aim to solve the mysteries that permeate the city and affect each of their lives.
Background
Occultic;Nine is the fifth mainline entry in the Science Adventure series. The anime covers the events of the first three volumes of the light novel and adds an original ending.
