Synopsis

For generations, the Poison Masters have refined their deadly trade. The Gero family ranks among the top five influential Master clans, famed for their unmatched skills and influence. Hikaru Gero, heir to this prestigious but perilous bloodline, has spent his life hidden in society's shadows, untouched by love or marriage. To ensure the Poison Master line continues, the Gero patriarch decrees that Hikaru's sister must produce an heir. Soon after, Hikaru encounters Mei Kinosaki, a brilliant con artist who specializes in arranged marriages—and who happens to be his latest assassination target. Determined to protect his sister and resolve the succession crisis on his own terms, Hikaru makes a sudden proposal: asking for Mei's help in finding him a spouse.
