Synopsis

Set in the closing years of the Edo period, an era defined by both natural calamities and man-made disasters that cast society into turmoil, Manjiro earns his keep by aiding the struggling inhabitants of the capital. In secrecy, he also retrieves valuable goods taken from the populace by corrupt authorities and other wicked forces. To the public, he goes by the name "Get-backer Roman."
