Synopsis
A clandestine ninja organization known as the Shinogara has Japan firmly in its grip. Hayate Kanuma, their deadliest killer and the son of their leader, eventually views their rule as oppressive. Against all expectations, he slays his father and escapes, making himself a fugitive. With few safe havens left, he chooses an unlikely refuge: his sister's residence. After suffering what may be a fatal injury, Hayate shifts his consciousness into his sister's body, temporarily sharing it with her. His sister Shiori gains the ability to tap into Hayate's ninja skills whenever the Shinogara attack, but each use chips away at her own sense of self. Since this unstable arrangement cannot last forever, the question remains: how will Hayate finally defeat the Shinogara for good?
