Synopsis

In the early 2000s, coinciding with the joint World Cup hosted by Japan and South Korea, "Forza! Hidemaru" emerged as a distinctive soccer anime filled with quirky animal characters dressed in sports gear. Targeted at a younger demographic, the series reimagines familiar themes through a fresh lens. The main character, Hidemaru, is a lively fox who plays alongside a varied group of friends, including rabbits, dogs, horses, and two sturdy hippo girls. This show is adapted from the manga "Hidemaru the Soccer Boy" by Makoto Mizobuchi, which ran in CoroCoro Comics.
