Synopsis

Ikta Solork is a laid-back youth who dreams of having a beautiful companion and a cozy place to rest. His tranquil existence is disrupted when conflict breaks out between the Katjvarna Empire and its neighbor, the Republic of Kioka. Alongside his childhood friend Yatorishino Igsem, Ikta joins the military ranks. During their journey to the testing grounds on a ship, they encounter infantryman Matthew Tetojirichi, sniper Torway Remion, and medic Haroma Becker. A violent storm capsizes their vessel, leaving the group stranded in hostile territory close to a military base. Here, they discover that Princess Chamille Kitora Katjvanmaninik, the Katjvarnan throne's heiress, has been kidnapped. The group successfully rescues her, earning each of them the title of Imperial Knight, one of the highest honors bestowed upon soldiers. With this new responsibility, Ikta must abandon his aspiration for a serene life and assume the mantle of an unwilling hero.
