In Garo: Crimson Moon, creatures referred to as "Horrors" have invaded the world through gateways from the Makai Realm of Darkness. These wicked entities take over human bodies and devour their spirits, creating a serious threat for anyone outdoors after nightfall. Yet the residents of the capital are kept safe by a protective barrier woven by the Onmyouji, a guild of spellcasters. Raikou, the Golden Knight, swears to shield humanity from these perils while wearing his mythical armor. Accompanied by his ally Kintoki and the mysterious Makai Alchemist Seimei, Raikou strives to become a powerful Makai Knight. However, he grapples with the armor's harmful side effects. Resolved to face his flaws and prove his might, Raikou embarks on a journey toward self-improvement and mastery.
