Synopsis
In Tokyo, Takuya Oohara and Rika Honjouji, two introverted coworkers at a travel agency, both value their single lifestyle. Takuya finds comfort at home with his cat, while Rika unwinds by studying maps after work. Their peaceful routine is shaken when their company announces plans to open a new branch in Alaska and transfer an unmarried employee there within a year. On a day off, Takuya and Rika, who had never spoken before, unexpectedly run into each other and share their concerns about the potential transfer. Inspired by their common situation, Rika proposes a daring solution: a fake engagement lasting 365 days. Takuya agrees to the plan, though neither foresees how this pretense might challenge the independent lives they are determined to maintain.
