Synopsis

Dimensional monsters once poured through portals and laid waste to Earth, but after their defeat, Seoul rose again. The tale follows the CLOSERS operating in the newly rebuilt New Seoul. Across the globe, mysterious dimensional gates opened without warning, releasing endless swarms of monsters. No weapon or defensive strategy could stop the creatures that flooded through. One city after another fell to complete ruin. However, the arrival of the gates brought more than devastation. The same psychic energy awakened within a small fraction of humanity special powers beyond the ordinary. The rise of these psychic fighters enabled world governments to push back against the monsters. After suffering enormous casualties, humanity eventually succeeded in sealing the gates. The psychics who did so became known as "CLOSERS," and the conflict was later called the First Dimensional War. With the monsters gone, peace was restored and reconstruction began. Intensive investigation into the gates and psychic energy revealed that these portals appear when a "singularity" forms in that mysterious power, yet much about their nature remained unknown. The CLOSERS who lived through the First Dimensional War organized under the name UNION and conducted worldwide research into psychic power to prevent another invasion. Then a fresh tremor ran through gates everywhere, and stronger outbreed creatures launched a renewed assault on Earth.
