Synopsis
In "Shadow of Heaven," Lu Chen, an elite agent with the codename "Shadow" from the Fuyun Division, had his cultivation abilities destroyed by a severe black fire curse after he dismantled a forbidden spell employed by a demon sect. Following a decade of seclusion, Master Tian Lan reappeared and assigned Lu Chen to infiltrate the Kunlun Sect in order to identify a spy from the demon sect. To repair his damaged Five Elements God Disk, Lu Chen assumed the lowly position of a handyman disciple within Kunlun, living in a modest thatched hut. During his mission, he developed meaningful friendships and fell in love with Yi Xin, rediscovering the importance of human connections. At the same time, he unearthed the mysterious secrets of Kunlun, realizing that the black dragon confined to its restricted area was not actually evil, and that Tian Lan's apparent righteousness concealed deeper motives. Wrestling with these discoveries, Lu Chen found direction through Yi Xin's support, deciding to break away from conventional ideas of morality and act according to his own principles.
