Synopsis
The story revolves around the "Ooparts Egg" and a giant stone statue called "Oobats," both found in ancient ruins dating back roughly two thousand years. Taiga journeys around the world with his father, Dr. Daino, an archaeologist. Their latest stop is South America, where they examine recently uncovered ruins dug up by treasure hunters. Inside these ruins, they encounter a colossal stone bird statue exceeding 50 meters in length. This raises the question of how such a massive statue could have been carved over 20,000 years ago, what its purpose was, and who created it. Suddenly, the stone bird statue comes to life and takes off into the sky. They learn the statue is called "Oobats" and that when combined with the "Ooparts Egg," it becomes a dangerous weapon capable of destroying the universe. The awakened stone bird leaves the ruins in search of the Ooparts Egg. Taiga is tasked with preventing this catastrophic event from happening.
