Synopsis
In the early 21st century, the United Nations Kurobe Research Institute is established in Japan to study an ancient artifact discovered during the construction of the Kurobe Dam. The institute draws scientists from across the globe, and their children attend Mt. Tate International Senior High School. Yukina Shirahane, a reserved high school student and the daughter of the lead scientist, visits her mother at the institute. There, she accidentally triggers part of the artifact's mystery, causing a young samurai from the Sengoku period named Kennosuke Tokisada Ouma to appear before her. As an extraterrestrial threat emerges, Yukina and Kennosuke join forces to defend Earth against the invaders. Throughout their journey, Yukina learns the true identity of Kennosuke and the reason behind his dedication to protecting her.
