Synopsis
Directed and animated by Ryoji Yamada, the music video for King Gnu's song Prayer X explores mental health themes—paranoia, anxiety, depression, and suicide—through an abstract, animated visual style. Set in a grey, monotonous world, it follows a protagonist trapped in a repetitive daily routine that gradually drives him insane. The track originally served as the ending theme for the anime Banana Fish.
