Synopsis
Doubutsu Mura no Shouboutai focuses on teaching fire safety to the animal residents of an animated village. This series instructs viewers on the proper use of electrical appliances and highlights precautions to prevent electrical fires. Produced under the sponsorship of the Japan Insurance Association, it addresses the hazards that emerged from Japan's rapid economic expansion, which drastically transformed daily life. Families that once lived in simple wooden houses suddenly acquired modern gadgets like televisions, refrigerators, kotatsu, and rice cookers. Because these devices were adopted so quickly, people often lacked the knowledge to operate them safely, leading to numerous fires caused by overheated appliances and overloaded power outlets.
