Synopsis
A homemade nuclear bomb obliterates Sarajevo, plunging the global war on terror into a catastrophic crisis. Major democracies shift into totalitarian regimes with widespread surveillance, while the developing world experiences a surge in genocides. The enigmatic American, John Paul, appears to be masterminding the collapse of global order. Intelligence agent Clavis Shepherd is assigned to pursue John Paul through the shattered remnants of society and uncover the mysteries of the Genocidal Organ, the engine behind this turmoil.
Background
Gyakusatsu Kikan was originally in production by studio Manglobe and was intended to be released on November 13, 2015. However the studio filed for bankruptcy on September 29, 2015 and production was handed over to Geno Studio. The film was reported to have been 60% complete by Manglobe before their production ended, however producer Kouji Yamamoto stated it had really been 20% complete.
