Ayaka: A Story of Bonds and Wounds

Synopsis

Ten years ago, a massive volcanic eruption nearly destroyed the Ayaka Islands in Japan. After a traumatic incident, Yukito Yanagi, who had been living with different foster families on the mainland, became withdrawn. Following his late father Makoto's final wishes, Yukito returns to his hometown on the day of his middle school graduation. There, he meets Makoto's disciples and learns about the islands' mysterious nature. The islands are inhabited by beings called Mitama, which can turn into dangerous Ara-Mitama by absorbing human negativity. Yukito realizes he, like his father, is a Ley Master capable of controlling these Ara-Mitama. As he confronts his own trauma and hones his skills, Yukito decides to become a high-ranking Ley Master to maintain peace on Ayaka.
