In "I'm Standing on a Million Lives," Yuusuke Yotsuya holds a strong aversion to Tokyo and its people, finding solace in the escape of virtual worlds. One afternoon, he spots popular athlete Iu Shindou talking with Kusue Hakozaki, a student who often misses class due to her frail health. When he looks away and then back, both have vanished without a trace. Suddenly, Yotsuya finds himself falling through the air as his surroundings shift around him. After plunging into a vast body of water, he wakes up to find massive monsters looming over him. He realizes Shindou and Hakozaki have pulled him into a game world where he must complete a quest within 14 days. A key rule of this new world is that any fallen ally will be revived after 30 seconds, as long as at least one member survives. As the challenges grow more intense, Yotsuya, Shindou, and Hakozaki must uncover the mystery behind this puzzling game realm.

In this installment

The Game Master's quest world summons Yuusuke Yotsuya and his original team once more. The group gains a new member, Keita Torii, and reunites with Kahabell, who does not realize the consequences their actions have on the world around them. After saying their goodbyes to Kahabell, the team embarks on a fresh assignment: delivering a Jiffon Buffalo to Vaikdamnia on Jiffon Island. However, the trip reveals that the mission is anything but straightforward. Orcs have overrun the island, having made a pact with the inhabitants to receive the buffalos instead of attacking them. As the buffalo supply runs low, the annual Vaikdamnia festival faces cancellation. In spite of these difficulties, the team must confront the orcs and free the island's people.
