Hakumei and Mikochi

Synopsis

In a world where its inhabitants are only a few inches tall, Hakumei and Mikochi share a home inside a tree. Hakumei is an energetic, tomboyish carpenter, while Mikochi is a calm and feminine tailor. Despite their contrasting personalities, they live together in harmony and enjoy their daily life in the forest. Their days are filled with work, sightseeing trips, and visits to the seaside Tsumiki Marketplace for shopping. Along the way, they befriend various creatures, including the sentient woodland animal Iwashi the weasel, the singer Konju, and the inventor Sen. Hakumei and Mikochi offers a gentle glimpse into the simple lives of its main characters as they explore and interact with their small, fairy-tale-like world.
