Synopsis

Toshi Densetsu Series is a serialized take on Japanese urban legends, reimagined with passion and sexual themes so that ghosts and demons no longer seem so frightening. Episode 1 - Toilet no Hanako-san Based on the classic "Hanako in the Toilet" ghost story, this episode follows Hasegawa Hanako, an elementary schoolgirl who stays after class to deliver a love letter. A pedophile teacher suddenly assaults her, and she ends up dead after the rape, her body discarded in the men's restroom. That same night, a young teacher on duty hears a voice coming from the toilet and discovers Hanako there, setting the story in motion. Episode 2 - E-noroi no Video This episode revolves around the cursed footage tied to the famous urban legend Sadako. With advances in technology and the changing world, Sadako is being forgotten, causing her power as a ghost to fade. To regain her strength, she must produce a brand-new promotional video, so she debuts an adult video featuring a man she has just encountered after emerging from the television. Episode 3 - Hachishaku-san The legend of Hachishaku-sama tells of a deity who once lived in a village but is gradually forgotten as people stop paying attention. She then wanders out to find children. According to the legend, Hachishaku-sama stands about 2 meters 40 centimeters, or roughly 8 feet tall, has an adult-like shape, and tends to appear before boys to devour them—though in this telling, what she devours is usually something more perverted, like the penis. Episode 4 - Mary-chan no Denwa The story centers on the legend of the beautiful Mary doll, who is thrown into the trash and begins taking revenge on people by terrorizing them over the phone. In this parody, Mary-chan calls a virgin man and takes his virginity, giving him a heavenly sensation. Episode 5 - E-noroi no VR The tale of Sadako continues. She has changed her environment, moving from the television to a Virtual Reality (VR) game. She converts, creates, and manipulates VR games into real-life sex games. Episode 6 - Shuuketsu Erokawa Kaii The Toshi Densetsu Series ghosts return once more. Hanako's ghost is now in a state of depression, disappointed because she cannot unite with living things like humans and animals. She wants to rescue and adopt an abandoned cat, but realizes she is a ghost and cannot live alongside living creatures. Sadako then asks the other ghosts, Mary and Hachishaku, for help in cheering Hanako up.
