Helter Skelter: Hakudaku no Mura

Synopsis

Miu and her household—four women in all—are familiar faces in the media, each chasing celebrity status. Her mother Sayoko, a celebrated fashion designer, lands the family a spot in a TV production, a rare chance for them to bond and enjoy themselves. In late August, the women travel to a small, remote village and filming begins. What Miu and her family don't realize, though, is that the entire production is a ploy. Their visit coincides with a local festival, and they have unwillingly become its centerpiece: the Shishigami. One by one, the women are made to undergo the festival's rites, discovering firsthand just how solemn and serious those customs truly are.
