Synopsis
A Hundred Scenes of Awajima is an omnibus adolescent drama centering on a group of girls at an all-female musical academy. The narrative follows their development through different characters' perspectives and time periods. At the Awajima Musical School Training Camp, known as the "boarding house," young women from across Japan gather with the shared goal of achieving stardom. Among them are Tabata Wakana, who dreams of becoming a musical star; Takehara Kinue, the housemaster carrying on her late friend's legacy; Okabe Emi, a scholarship student whose beauty often draws attention; and Ibuki Katsurako, an instructor from a theatrical family. The musical school serves as both a sanctuary and a competitive arena for these aspiring performers. While it fosters their talents and resilience, it also presents a harsh reality. Through vivid character portrayals and deep psychological insight, the story reveals the intricate inner lives of its protagonists.
