Synopsis

This 1994 baseball film, based on Keiji Nakazawa's manga and directed by Yoshinori Kanemori, centers on Susumu Daichi, who lost his parents in the Hiroshima atomic bombing. He and his friends play on a scrappy team that later becomes the professional Hiroshima Carp, as they face economic and social struggles in the team's early, most fragile years.
